In chemical production, pipelines are required to transport highly corrosive substances such as acidic and alkaline solutions, high-temperature media, and sulfur-containing gases for extended periods. Ordinary steel pipes are prone to corrosion, leaking and cracking, which not only affects production efficiency but can also cause safety accidents. Anti-corrosion steel pipe, with its targeted anti-corrosion treatment, has become a "safety line" for media transportation in the chemical industry, effectively addressing corrosion challenges and ensuring stable production operations.

There are three main types of anti-corrosion steel pipe commonly used in the chemical industry: 1. 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe, featuring a dense three-layer polyethylene coating and strong chemical resistance, is suitable for transporting hydrocarbon media such as crude oil and refined oil products. 2. Steel-lined PTFE anti-corrosion steel pipe, with its inner PTFE coating, can withstand extreme temperatures of -200°C to 260°C, resisting strong acids and alkalis, making it suitable for transporting highly corrosive liquids such as sulfuric acid and nitric acid. 3. Epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion steel pipe, with its coating being both water-resistant and soil-resistant, is commonly used in chemical wastewater treatment and underground pipeline construction. This type of steel pipe offers irreplaceable value in the chemical industry. First, it resists corrosion and extends its service life. For transporting sulfur-containing chemical exhaust gases, the lifespan of anti-corrosion steel pipe is 5-8 times longer than that of ordinary steel pipe, reducing the frequency of pipe replacement. Second, it ensures the purity of the medium. The smooth anti-corrosion coating prevents steel rust from contaminating the medium, making it particularly suitable for transporting high-purity materials in pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. Finally, it improves safety. The anti-corrosion coating effectively prevents corrosion-induced pipe damage, reducing the risk of explosions and poisoning caused by leaks.

In practical applications, it serves as the "lifeline" of refining and chemical plants, protecting against corrosion when transporting high-temperature refining media. It serves as the "connector" for chemical storage tanks, ensuring the safe transfer of acid and alkaline raw materials. It is also a key component of environmental treatment systems, preventing corrosion and clogging when transporting chemical wastewater. As the chemical industry upgrades, anti-corrosion steel pipe is developing towards higher corrosion resistance and improved environmental performance, providing stronger support for safe chemical production.
